What kind of chocolate do you use? We use Callebaut Belgium chocolate that is made for especially for chocolate fountains. A high cocoa butter content gives the chocolate a rich texture, fragrance and sheen. Unlike most chocolates, vegetable oil does not need to be added, so its easier and less messy at the event site.
How long does it take to set up and breakdown? Set up usually takes one hour, cleaning up 30 - 45 minutes. This time is included in your package rental (27" & 34"). If setting up outside, additional time will be required.
Will you consider an outside set up? With the understanding that we cannot guarantee that the fountain will work properly, we are open to the possibility of operating outdoors. The outdoor temperature must be warm enough that guests do not require jackets or coats, and the area is low risk from insects. Wind is a critical issue - even a small breeze blows the chocolate everywhere. If it gets too breezy, the fountain can be turned off and your guests can still dip items in the basin, like a regular fondue. A quality canopy, with at least three walls could be used if there is only a slight breeze. Contact us for further information.
What fountain manufacturer do you use? We use Sephra Fountains - for their dependability and superior design features. You can learn more about Sephra Fountains at their website by clicking on this link http://www.sephra.com
What is the story behind "Chocolate Fountains of the Eastern Sierra" ?
Chocolate Fountains of the Eastern Sierra is owned and operated by long time Mammoth locals, Briant & Adrianne Phillips. We had looked into renting a chocolate fountain for our own wedding and found that our choices were either to rent by mail and deal with the hassle of shipping, or pay the expense of having someone come from Reno or Truckee. We passed on both options. But then we experienced a chocolate fountain at a friends wedding. It was so delicious and fun, we regretted not having one at our wedding. We had been thinking of starting some type of home business and concluded that this would fulfill a need in the Eastern Sierra and be a fun way to supplement our income. We started the fountain business in June of 2005. We know everyone who loves chocolate will love the chocolate fountain experience! We are proud to be the first chocolate fountain rental business the Eastern Sierra!
